Homestead Hydro is run by Moved from a Portland apartment to a 5-acre property in rural Oregon three years ago with her partner and two dogs. Had zero experience with wells, septic, or water systems and learned everything the hard way -- including the time they accidentally ran their well pump dry in the first summer. Now runs a small hobby farm with chickens, a vegetable garden, and a rain collection system held together with zip ties and stubbornness. Not a homesteading expert, not an engineer, not even particularly handy -- just someone who keeps figuring things out because there is no landlord to call anymore.. We provide honest, experience-based reviews and guides to help you make informed decisions.
